Greg Pierce that Gorogoa is the first game Jason “Jake” Roberts ever developed, it must’ve come as a stupendous surprise when it earned Apple’s 2018 iPad Game of the Year award. Roberts is still finalizing all of the games art and visual cues, and he mentioned several times during my demo. If you enjoy peaceful, mesmerizing puzzlers it’s a must. Gorogoa doesnt have a firm release date, but its supposed to come out in 2017. Gorogoa won two separate GDC awards and a BAFTA, all in 2018.
Played through Gorogoa and that Game of the Year award is well deserved. Buried Signals 2017 release, Gorogoa, has been awarded several artistic awards and three gaming awards.
